Rockin' Robin Quilts

Allover quilting designs are exactly that. A pattern that is quilted over the entire quilt. It can be simple or complex, done with a pantograph pattern or freehand. See below for an idea of how much this may cost.

An overall design in the body of a quilt with a separate and different pattern chosen for one or more borders. Custom quilting usually will include stitch in the ditch, a separate motif in each block, feathers, circles, flowers, leaves, etc. 

Concerted effort is made to marry the quilting with the "feel" or style of the piecing.

A minimum of 3.5 hours is usually required for custom work.

May be quite detailed, intricate and fancy quilting. This style of quilting is usually reserved for very special items such as a wedding quilt or a quilt that is going to be judged at a show. May or may not include specialty quilting such as trapunto. - Priced by the job. I have very limited time for these.

I will work with you to create a one-of-a-kind T-Shirt quilt out of your old T-shirts. These make fantastic graduation quilts for the kids to take with them to college, or a wonderful memory of a loved one.  Sports, hobbies, vacations, the possibilites are endless.  Be advised that due to the nature of this area, quilts take some time to get completed, but I promise you will love the results.

A quilt measuring 68" x 80" will take about 3 hours to complete.

Things to reduce the time are:

- Be sure your quilt top and backing are nicely pressed.

- Check to make sure there are no holes in your top. Sometimes we don't get our seams closed completely and I may not find it until it's already half quilted.

- Trim your backing edges even. Do this by folding the backing into quarters and carefully trimming with your ruler and rotary cutter. If you do not feel confident enough to do this, I will do it.
